Stepping back a little
This is a few steps back from my previous upload and still the same street in Differdange, which is a steel worker’s town with a population of less than 12,000. (ISO 100, f8 @ 52mm, 1/500sec., 15:21)

Backyard, Differdange, South-western Luxembourg
This is a backyard in the same street as in my previous upload just a few hundred meters away and in the other direction. Behind the garages you see some buildings of the ArcelorMittal steelworks which is the biggest employer in Differdange. (ISO 100, f8 @ 48mm, 1/250sec., 15:11)

(ISO 100, f7.1 @ 65mm, 1/3200sec., 14:37) I passed by this place on my tour through Mannheim and Ludwigshafen earlier this year. This is a sound studio and school for drummers. Couldn’t resist these shades of white.

French-German funfair, Berlin, one hour after midnight
(ISO 200, f2.8 @ 35mm, 13sec., 01:00) This is a fairground ride for kids. I think I would be scared to death as a 6 year old having to face that guy in the black dress. On the other hand the owner did have a very gentle attitude when he noticed me taking this shot. He was smoking his last cigar that evening and told me that he needs to…

Leibnizstraße, Saarbrücken Burbach
(ISO 100, f8 @ 35mm, 30sec., 21:35) Focusing on the antennas in the background I didn’t notice the shadow of the man. I didn’t hear him either because the neighbourhood was pretty noisy. So it was a bit of a shock when he suddenly walked into the frame while I waited for the result to appear on the camera screen. He looked straight ahead and didn’t see me. A few…
