Urban Art Biennale, Völklingen world heritage site

Apart from exhibitions about the history and the technical details of iron production there is also room for modern art in the vast space of the Völklingen Ironworks. Sebastião Salgado, EVOL, Shepard Fairey and Bill Viola are only a few of the many artists who have been shown here.

The exhibition area is both open (on top) and closed (massive walls) at the same time which makes it a unique experience to wander around and have yourself inspired.
